Kent Harper is the founder & president of Film Star Pictures and a multiple award nominated and winning American Actor/Writer/Director/Producer. Mr. Harper presently presides over, “Film Star Pictures”, which he established in 1995. He has been working on producing and developing studio and independent features, worked hand and hand with significant producers. Kent Harper and Film Star Pictures went on in 2008 to produce the multiple award winning film,“Surveillance” with acclaimed director David Lynch,(“Elephant Man”,”Twin Peaks”, Blue Velvet.”) “Surveillance” is a twisted psychological crime thriller with an unpredictable twist. He also co-wrote the film with Lynch's daughter Jennifer Lynch(“Boxing Helena”) who directed the film.  Kent acted in a lead roll in the picture with Bill Pullman, Julia Ormond, French Stewert, and Michael Ironside. The film was screened at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival and won “Best Picture” at the “Sitges International Film Festival in Spain among awards at other festivals. It has distribution and was released in theaters all over the UK. In March of ’09. It was released in theaters in the U.S. in June of ’09 through Magnolia Distribution in festivals all over the world.  Kent harper won "Best Performance" in the "2008 Silverlake Film Festival" for his role in the film "Statistics" which he also produced and won awards.  He has written 17 screenplays and is developing 5 of them to direct. Kent is setting up to direct the feature film "A Blast of Sunlight Explodes" which shoots late 2015, about, "a man using quantum physics  to attempt to break through the unified feild."    Kent is currently directing his first feature film, the dramatic, psychological, horror film, "Deterioration" in production now.
